Halloween Hunt at the Sidney Museum

Sidney, British Columbia, October 21, 2020 — For the last week of October, Sidney Museum is inviting guests of all ages to participate in a museum-wide jack o’lantern hunt. Hidden throughout all the exhibits of the Museum are cut-out jack o’lanterns with different faces, and the Sidney Museum wants everyone to come and try to find them all.

Any child who participates will be given a pre-packaged bag of candy (while supplies last), and be entered into a draw to win the main prize: a $100 gift card from Buddies Toys in Sidney BC. Winner will be drawn November 2nd.

For the week the Museum will also be featuring panels on topics such as the history of Halloween, trick-or-treating’s roots in the European traditions of “mumming,” “souling,” and “guising” and more. The Museum will also be showcasing a LEGO brick haunted house and other spooky decorations.

The Jack o’Lantern Hunt is being presented at Sidney Museum, 2423 Beacon Avenue L3, Sidney, BC from 24 October until 1 November, 2020. The jack o’lantern hunt is part of the Sidney Business Improvement Area Society’s Halloween Spooktacular, running from 23 to 31 of October 2020, with events at participating locations in Sidney.
